They can be busy but that's just how restaurants are. The patience pays off everytime. Food is always good and service as well.

One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Dim sum is excellent. Snow paid tips very tasty. Wide menu selection. Get there early to avoid long lines

I have drove past this place at least a million times, and I finally decided to give it a shot. I usually look at reviews before being so spontaneous but the reviews here are all over the map. Our experience here was fantastic. I see reviews for poor service but that was not an issue at all. The food was extremely delicious and affordable, we even had leftovers. It’s nice finally finding a good dim sum place and we most certainly will be visiting again.

The food was amazing. I had been wanting to go to this restaurant for quite some time and I’m so glad I finally made it. It definitely lived up to my expectations based on previous reviews. Almost as soon as we sat down the first cart came around with dim sum. There was always someone checking on my table and we enjoyed everything about our visit.

Pricey food without service plus long waiting time during meal. Each plate was served generally 15-20 mins after the prior dish. Spent most of our time waiting for the next dish. Dim Sum is okay. The worst experience is we ordered steamed fish, were told they don't serve whole fish, only fish fillet, we said okay. When the plate was brought to our table, we thought they must have made a mistake, it was a $20 dish, but the plate only has 2 small pieces of fillet, looked like a lunch special meal worth less than 10 bucks! We called the server, she told us YES, this is the $20 fillet dish...we went speechless...Would not recommend!

I've never been treated so rudely by a server in my life. It was clear she didn't want to serve me, I left the restaraunt in tears. I can't believe I paid to be treated so poorly.

Love their food, and the service at this location is supreme. All the servers worked together to make sure everyone was happy.

HLB is nicely authentic. I've only had dim sum, and there's a nice boatload of plenty good looking entree choices. Aaah, but dim sum pushed round on a Sunday afternoon, the full range offered on weekends vs less choices on a Tues night I went most recently. I'm not always crazy about the treatment at the front waiting to be seated, specially if they're busy, but... anyway, what I ate the times I've been there - really Chinatown (plus some Viet too!) I'll keep going, keep trying selection after selection!

Literally the best Sesame Chicken I have ever had, hands down. I would say we are super picky about our Chinese food (from NYC where the food is hard to compare to) and we are so happy we found this gem! Very kind friendly service with some of the best Chinese food ever!!

Had the time to stop by for lunch on Saturday, August 3, 2019. I had all Dim Sum. I like the service because you can ask anyone for help and don’t have to wait for ‘your’ waiter or waitress. I can’t describe what I ate but I had about 5 little dishes and loved all of it. The restrooms are clean and the clanking of dishes adds to the total experience. Highly recommended for a “different taste experience.”

To me dim sum is king. Just love it. But we didn't like it here. Wish we did. Not easy to find dim sum in this area.

This place used to be one of my favorites, but it looks like their quality of food as well as employees has dropped. Might try again in the future to see if anything changed

We've been coming here for years. Not bad dim sum, and the salt and pepper calamari is really good. Have not had bad dishes here. They also have some more ethnic dishes, such as tripe and honeycomb. Sometimes it can get pretty crammed, especially for lunch on Sundays.

LOVE the lean beef soup and egg bun! Everything I've tried has been delicious 😋

Excellent Asian restaurant with extensive menu and dim sum. The Singapore Noodle was spot on with proper texture and flavor. The dim sum has many great options at reasonable prices from various dumplings to beef and pork options. The service is always fantastic and friendly. Great place to dine alone or with the whole family. A "must try" restaurant when in the area.

Loved the food.. it has become a family affair destination when we travel. Looking forward to the next time.. A great Dim Sum, hot and fresh and delicious. Something for everyone's taste

The order name was Megan.Upon my wife eating, she felt something hard in her mouth. There was a piece of plastic like it broke off from the spatula in the dish. I wish I would of taken a picture of it. Beware and believe what you want to believe in! We are Asian ourselves so I want to say there is no bias in this review. At the end of the day, it’s all business!

Best pho in the area IMO

Very good Dim Sum. It's quite popular for Sunday lunch so know that things will take longer. Good is great. Staff is polite. And there is plenty of variety. I don't even like Dim Sum and there are things for me to eat!

Wow. Dim Sum YES!!! 25years in San Francisco taught us a lot about amazing Chinese, Vietnamese and Dim sum and this place ranks high! So happy to find Ha Long Bay Restaurant. Will be back many, many times.

Extensive menu with endless selection of dim sum and Vietnamese specialties, did not notice the banh mi sandwich though. Our selections of dim sum and seafood chow fun were delicious, if not a little pricey. Went there on a Friday night at 6 and was promptly seated and served.

First time there and can't wait to go back. Friendly service and excellent food. Fried dumplings were the best I've ever had. Mongolian Beef was tender and prepared with onions and scallions and was awesome.

Service was acceptable with all the social distancing measures in place to maintain a safer environment. The dumplings were excellent, among the best I've had around various cities including NYC and Seattle. Will come back to try other items on the menu. Loved the flavor on their hot sauce!

Second time at this restaurant and really enjoyed everything! Dim Sum was great...wide variety of dumplings and other small plates. Tried the general tsao chicken and highly recommend.

The most authentic chines and Vietnamese. The service is top notch. Very clean and very well priced. Highly Recommend. Also best Dim Sum in the area- weekends for lunch they have carts of it that go buy and you can pick and try new things off the carts or still order off the menu.

Showing close between 3P to 5P at the door. I drove 45 minutes from Brandon to this restaurant. I walked in at 2:50PM and have been told restaurant was closed at 2:45PM. Waiter didn’t offer any take out or to go option beside shutting me off. Very bad experience and very disappointed. I will never give them my business.

our main server was okay, just bad hospitality from some of the staff. We were greeted with stink eyes as soon as we entered the restaurant at 8pm! To top it off, being nastily talked about when they were just right infront of us.

I've gone a few times with friends and the experience was generally good except for my last visit. I was in a party of 5 and we came in at night when a few other parties were eating at the restaurant, so it wasn't busy. 4 of us ordered food and our server only came by to drop off our meals and to take our empty plates. He didn't refill our waters or check up on us while we were eating. I paid for our table and saw that 18% gratuity was applied even though their menus stated that gratuity would be applied to parties of 6 or more. I expect competent service if the server is going to slap gratuity onto a bill for 4 people.

We had the vermicelli with grilled pork and stir fried flat rice noodles with beef dishes.Both dishes are good .The pork in vermicelli was grilled nicely and the vegetables were fresh.Atmosphere was ok but we had to wait awhile for our check.We ended up had to go to the cashier and asked for it.

This spot is worth a visit, but the community is host to many truly excellent, similarly priced Asian restaurants.

Really good food so much of it too. They were very busy yet not a long wait. Second visit same results. Very good food (Pad Thai) . Had enough to take home leftovers 👍

Ordered take-out from here for dinner tonight... WOW! Everything was amazingly delicious and authentic. I am really impressed. We ordered fried rice to share and let me tell you that's the best fried rice I've had. Their egg rolls are fresh, and their Pad Thai is sooooo tasty!!!! Their Magnolian Beef was also super tasty. I would recommend to anyone!! Will definitely be ordering from here again soon!!

My wife and I went specifically went to Ha Long Bay because they offer a large and varied dim sum selection. What we had was great!. I had read several reviews. All agreed the food was delicious. Unfortunately there was a common thread of having terrible service. We are pleased to say that was not the experience we had. The service was as good as any good restaurant can be and we very much enjoyed our dinner.

Busy busy busy busy. Likely due to everything being pretty darn good! Some small tweaks to the recipes would make them fantastic, but still a lot of great food at an average price for Dim Sum.

Great Dim Sum! They push around carts and you have your pick from anywhere around 8-15 different small dishes per cart of dumplings, pork buns, shumai, bok Choi plus many more. It's bustling and busy on weekends with a very attentive staff. Also an extensive menu of traditional Chinese and Vietnamese dishes.

Good food , but serving slow than snail

Drove a whole hour to try this place. Very impressed. I ordered pad thai and it wasnt the best ive ever had but it was still delicious. I would come back. The boba strawberry was the best! Like a frozen strawberry milk drink. I did have tummy issues after and thats in nice terms. Lol THE CALAMARI WAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST FLAVOR IVE EVER HAD!

The BEST Mongolian beef I've EVER HAD. No joke, no exaggerations, just amazing food. The dumpling (dim sum) is filling and full of delicious goodness. I can't wait to try more items on this menu. Have you left yet??? Go eat here, you'll thank me!

By far the best Damn Dim Sum in West Florida! Great chinese and Vietnamese food as well. Place is packed for a reason. A must try for those who have never been. Dim Sum carts wheeled around table to table from 11:30am-2:00pm daily. They feature chefs from both China and Vietnam.. VERY authentic food, great prices and good service!
